This is the final entry for our Azalea Festival Trip.
Crystal and I were lucky enough to be invited to the Celebrity Luncheon at the NC Azalea Festival in Wilmington this year.
I had the distinct pleasure to meet and talk with Beth Grant! She was absolutely, completely, fabulous.
Most of you will know her from her recent part in No Country for Old Men. However, she and I discussed her role in “To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar”. She told me several “behind the scenes” things as well as some things to look for in the movie. I think I spent about 15 minutes with her. She was warm, outgoing and, again, fabulous. It is so unfortunate that in quite a few of her roles she is made up to be a somewhat unflattering and plain character. In person, she is radiant. All week at the events we attended she was warm, outgoing and seemed to be having a ball. Mrs. Grant spent a large part of her early years in North Carolina and was right at home.
Mrs. Grant, if you happen to read this, you are awesome and it was truly a pleasure to meet and talk with you.
